New Website Offers More Options for Online Giving

December is the time when most people make their charitable gifts and it's also when the MBL Annual and Alumni Funds receive up to 50% of yearly totals.

In the next week or so, MBL supporters will receive an appeal in the mail to make their gifts before the end of the fiscal year on December 31.

development website

For those who don't want to wait, the new Catalyst Campaign website, connect.mbl.edu, provides a quick and easy way to make a gift online and offers more features than the previous site.

The site lets donors make a one-time gift, a tribute or memorial gift indicating those to be notified. You can also sign up for automatic monthly giving, a great way to support the MBL all year long. There is even the option to create your personal account to manage your contact information and make future transactions easier.

Also, for the first time, donors interested in some of the Catalyst Campaign's targeted fund drives -- for the Biology of Parasitism Course, the Neural Systems and Behavior Course, the Whitman Center Endowment and the Valois Tank Room -- have the option to make their gift online.

If you have any questions about the new site, please contact Kate Shaw at kshaw@mbl.edu.

The Biological Bulletin

The Biological BulletinThe cover image of the December 2011 issue of The Biological Bulletin represents a mature Drosophila melanogaster third instar larva in which class IV dendritic arborization sensory neurons are labeled in green by Green Fluorescent Protein. The background is an individual class IV da neuron labeled in red.

The journal website (www.biolbull.org) was recently upgraded from HTML- to XML-based web pages, improving navigation across the site and creating a more user-friendly experience.
