Anonymous Gifts:

  • $400,000 to support the Marine Resources Center General Endowment.
  • $100,000 to support the Shinya and Sylvia Inoué Endowment for Cellular Dynamics Imaging.

David Bulloch contributed $101,500 to establish a Charitable Gift Annuity.

Cecily Cannan Selby pledged $250,000 in a bequest to MBL.

Dart Neuroscience LLC granted $1,000,000 for lab space for Dart Investigators studying in the area of Learning and Memory.

The Ellison Medical Foundation awarded:
$474,822 for “Accelerating Analysis of the Biology of Aging by the Encyclopedia of Life.” Gary Borisy, principal investigator.
$226,296 for “Ubiquitin-mediated degradation of cell cycle regulatory proteins in aging.” Avram Hershko, principal investigator.

The Environmental Protection Agency awarded $150,000 for “Dynamic Modeling of Emissions from Land-Use Activities.” Jerry Melillo, principal investigator.

The G. Unger Vetlesen Foundation awarded $850,000 to support the Marine Resources Center Operations and the Bay Paul Center Faculty Support.

Howard Hughes Medical Institute awarded $141,750 for “The Pre college Science Education Initiative for Biomedical Research Institutions.” William Reznikoff, principal investigator.

William I. and Lauren Huyett pledged $315,000 to Directors Discretionary and the Annual Fund.

Kurt J. and Rhoda S. Isselbacher contributed $150,000 to support the Kurt and Rhoda Isselbacher Endowed Scholarship Fund and the Annual Fund.

The National Institutes of Health awarded:
