Final 2004 Quarter Critical to MBL Annual Fund

Typically, nearly half of total Annual Fund income—this year’s goal is $650,000 —arrives between now and December 31, the end of the MBL fiscal year. Monies received to date have come from corporation members, alumni, MBL Associates, trustees, staff and friends, and have already been used to provide essential resources for MBL students, summer investigators, and resident scientists.

The Annual Fund represents gifts from individuals; it supplements tuition, fees, overhead from grants, and income from endowments to cover the costs of programs. “This is where all of us who have benefited from the MBL or who simply value its unique and influential position in the life sciences, can show our support,” said Yale’s Tom Pollard, Chairman of the 2004 Annual Fund. “Our combined gifts to the Annual Fund can have a tremendous impact.”

Gifts may be made by way of cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover or gifts of stock. Click here for online giving or contact Kate Shaw, 7 MBL Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543; (508) 289-7416; kshaw@mbl.edu.
