Whitman Society Reception 2003

Members of the 2002 Whitman Society were honored on July 8th at the National Academy of Sciences’ J. Erik Jonsson Center in Quissett. The Society recognizes leadership donors to the Annual and Alumni funds. About 150 guests attended.

Guests visit the
Marine Resources Center

The MBL hosted 60 guests at the Day of Science event held August 22nd. The Day of Science provided visitors with an up-close look at the Laboratory's research and education programs. Following welcoming remarks by MBL Director and CEO, Bill Speck and presentations by summer investigators Barbara Ehrlich and Bob Barlow, participants got an in-depth tour of the Laboratory. They visited The Ecosystems Center, the Bay Paul Center’s Program in Global Infectious Diseases, the Marine Resources Center's Scientific Aquaculture Program, and the Zebrafish Course. Day of Science guests included friends of the Laboratory as well as community leaders and members of the media.
