Construction Update

The MBL is undergoing a facelift. Renovations or construction projects are happening in every laboratory building, as well as in Cafe Swope, the Brick Apartment Building, and the Homestead Building. Here are some highlights:
  • Some of the new safety stations that eventually will be installed on every floor of all lab buildings, have been installed.

  • Human Resources, Education, Research Space Administration, Financial Services, and the Biological Bulletin staff have moved into a renovated Homestead Building this spring.

  • Structural repairs are being made to the porches on the Brick Apartment Building.

  • Recently renovated Ebert Hall dormitory rooms await its summer residents.

  • Workers in the Marine Resources Center (third floor) are preparing lab and office space for new MBL and Boston University Marine Program investigators Rick Goetz, Gabriele Gerlach, and Paul Barber.
