The Kohlberg Foundation, Inc. gave a grant in the amount of $25,000 to The Ecosystems Center to support a conference dealing with coastal rare species issues. The conference will be titled Scientific and Practitioner Network for Sandplain Conservation. Christopher Neill is the principal investigator.
Department of Energy (DOE) awarded $60,000 for Investigations into the Metabolic Diversity of Microorganisms as Part of Microbial Diversity. Microbial Diversity course directors Thomas Schmidt and William Metcalfe are the lead investigators.
