NASA awarded $299,910 for “Biogeochemical Consequences of Agricultural Intensification in the Amazon Basin.” Jerry Melillo, Paul Steudler, and Christopher Neill are the principal investigators.
NIH awarded the following grants:
- $2,684,918 (over five years; $507,196 first year) for “Molecular Evolution of Eukaryotes: A Protistan Emphasis.” Mitch Sogin, Hilary Morrison, and Andrew McArthur are the principal investigators.
- $348,750 for “Mitochondrial mRNA Editing in Trypanosomes.” Steve Hajduk is the principal investigator
- $64,446 (Subawarding Institution: BioCurrents Research Inc.) for “Ultra-micro oxygen sensor development.” Peter Smith is the principal investigator.
