2004 Insurance Rates and Open Enrollment
Its that time of year again! The holidays will soon be in full swing as we all begin to look ahead to 2004. Human Resources has finalized negotiations with our benefits carriers and is pleased to announce lower-than-expected increases to our insurance rates for the 2004 plan yearwe will renew our BCBS plans with a 12% increase to our 2003 rates, and our Delta Dental plan with a 10% increase to 2003.
Below you will find the monthly rates for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental plans effective January 1, 2004, as well as the biweekly cost to be deducted from Payroll for employees in each plan.

Everyone will have the opportunity to enroll in, add, or change insurance coverage for the new year during our Open Enrollment period held in early December. All changes and additions will be effective January 1, 2004. This year the MBLs Open Enrollment will be conducted on-line through a new web-based enrollment system. Watch for an email from Human Resources with instructions for 2004 Open Enrollment arriving next week to your MBL e-mail account.
Well be kicking off our Open Enrollment period with our annual Health Fair on December 2nd from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM in the MBL Club. Plan on stopping by to meet representatives from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental, UnumProvident and others who provide services to the MBL. Bring your questions, concerns, issues, etc. directly to the sources, and check out the demo of the new web-based enrollment system.
