Benefits News
MetLife will soon be offering MBL employees new group life benefits. This is a voluntary plan, which is over and above the life insurance MBL currently provides through UNUM for all regular fulltime and parttime employees.
This voluntary insurance program allows you to select a range of coverage levels to best suit your individual needs and help give your family more financial protection for the future.
How much life insurance do you need?
You can find out easily by asking yourself some simple questions like:
Do you have a spouse or children who depend on you for support?
Does your spouse work?
Does your family have outstanding bills or mortgage payments?
What financial impact would the loss of your income have on your familynow and in the future?
A quick and easy way to help you figure out how much life insurance coverage you need is to access the MetLife Life Insurance Calculator located at www.metlifeiseasier.net/na. When youre done, you will have a good idea of how much life insurance coverage you may need to help protect your family.
All MBL employees will soon receive MetLife group life enrollment materials. The enrollment period will be through the end of March with the effective date of the plan April 1st. On Wednesday, March 5th MetLife representatives will be at the MBL for informational meetings. Look over the materials, attend the meetings, and consider whether this would be a benefit for you and your family. The meetings will be in Candle House 104/105 at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
