Summer Parking Reminder

The MBL’s parking shuttle service will begin on June 2 and will run through August 29. The shuttle is available from 8:00 AM to 7:50 PM, Monday through Friday and from 8:00 AM until 12:00 noon Saturday. During the summer season, only those cars with green permits will be allowed to park on campus in the Lillie, Loeb, Broderick, and Swope lots. All others with red permits will be required to park at the Devil’s Lane lot. Cars with red permits will be authorized to park on campus after 4:00 PM Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday (space permitting).

Remember, parking is available at Stony Beach for beach-goers only. An MBL red, green, or blue parking permit or a current year Town of Falmouth Beach permit is required to park there. No overnight parking is allowed at Stony Beach. Also, please be a good neighbor and do not park on neighboring streets.

This summer the MBL will allow the Woods Hole Business Association to use the Lillie lot on Saturday nights in July through August (with the exception of MBL event weekends) to supplement village parking. Staff will be asked to use the Swope, Loeb, and Broderick lots on those evenings that the Business Association is using the Lillie lot. The proceeds the MBL receives from the Business Association will be used to help defray the costs associated with maintaining the parking lots. If this summer’s trial program works out well, we will continue to partner with the Business Association in future summers.

Note: If you are one of the few people who have not picked up your current 2008 permit or have not placed it in your window, please do so now.

Please contact the Building Services, Transportation, and Ground Services office at x7530 if you have any questions about parking at the MBL.
