MBL Supports Local Science Fairs
In February the MBL awarded a $1000 scholarship to Falmouth Academy junior Maia ten Brink for her winning science fair project titled The effect of sleep deprivation and circadian rhythm on cockroach olfactory memory. Falmouth High School junior Ellen Gawarkiewicz was awarded the MBLs $500 Arnold Clark Scholarship for her research on predator/prey relationships of marine mammals. The MBL also provided support to the Lawrence Middle School Science Fair and to the South Shore Regional Science Fair. In addition, the following MBL employees volunteered their time at the following science fairs:
