MBL Web Updates
There have been many ongoing changes to the MBL website, both behind the scenes and on many pages. Here are a few:
New Site Design
If you’ve visited the MBL website recently, you’ve noticed major changes to the look and feel of the site. We have added the new MBL logo to our header, and changed colors and page dimensions. We have also added a text-size feature (in the upper right hand of each page) that allows users increase or decrease text size as needed. We have completely redesigned the site navigation with the goal of making it easier to find what you are looking for with fewer clicks of the mouse. Thank you to Chris Dematos in the IT Department for his many hours of hard work on this project.
Content Management System
Now that the entire MBL site is up and running on the new Serena Collage content management system (CMS), we will be working to give various MBL Departments access to update their own web pages. The first round of content management licenses will go to Communications, Education, Human Resources, Housing, Development, MRC, and Dining. CMS training will take place in early to mid June. Our plan is to purchase additional licenses next year and further expand the number of people contributing to the site.
MBL Events, Calendars, and News:
The website is filling up quickly with lectures, seminars, events, and news for 2007. Friday Evening Lectures, summer seminar series, and the Biava Quartet concert are just a few of the events filling up our summer calendar.
