Dr. Gerald Weissmann Book Signing

Please join the Library Staff in welcoming longtime MBL summer scientist, NYU Professor of Medicine Emeritus, Editor-in Chief of the journal FASEB, and author of numerous books, Dr. Gerald Weissmann will be signing copies his newly published book Galileo's Gout: Science in the Age of Endarkenment, on Wednesday August 15th , 4:00pm, in the Grass Reference Room of the MBLWHOI Library. Well noted for his unique interdisciplinary expository style as applied to the scientific issues of his time, Dr. Weissmann's newest book speaks to our time when scientific knowledge has not kept pace with the needs of mankind.
Other books Dr. Weissmann has written include The Year of the Genome, Darwin's Audubon, and The Woods Hole Cantata.
